The Retreat
In the almost undeveloped and largely untouched surroundings of the Alentejo, there is a special place, near the town of Redondo. Far from the road, here you will find cork oak forests and wonderful healing energies.
The accommodation
Nestled between cork oaks, the manor house of Monte da Japónica and the directly adjacent cottage lie in absolute peace and seclusion in the Alentejo, near Redondo.
The ideal place to enjoy the wonderful landscape, to relax and to use the wonderful energy of the place to meet yourself.
Excursions
In the area surrounding the accommodation there are numerous historical sites, such as stone circles and antas (ancient burial sites), as well as the town of Estremoz. Here you can feel the energy and life of the old days.
The places also invite you to have picnics together.
Leisure time
Let your soul unwind by retreating to the large grounds of the Monte de Japónica, using the large pool or simply relaxing near the manor house and meeting other participants.
process and costs
There are various room categories available for your stay. If a whole week seems too long for you, you can also stay just a weekend, a single day or just take part in the cocoa ceremony, which traditionally takes place on Saturday. Find out more on the next page about our additional offer.
The trip
You will travel to Portugal individually. The quickest way is by plane to Lisbon airport. From there you can either travel to Redondo with a rental car or the Flixbus. If you wish, we can also organize a shared taxi for you and other participants for a small additional charge.
